How to Get Started Firechat

Firechat has two different chat mode, can be accessed from the main interface.
"Everyone" is the global chat mode that lets you chat with up to 80 users randomly selected from the same country, and requires an Internet connection.
"Nearby" is local, the message options off-the-grid. The range for the message off-the-grid differs according to platform: 30 feet to 100 meters Android and iOS. However, the Android version supports multi-hop network Open from the Garden, so that the range will increase with the number of users using the application (this feature is coming soon for iOS version).

One thing to remember is that the two versions are not (yet) compatible in offline mode. However, the developers are confident that they will eventually be able to bring a message of inter-platform for Firechat.
The big thing with Firechat, is to show that potential. If Google's interest is anything to go by, the mesh network may just be the future.
